MARQUETTE, Mich. - Sophomore defenseman Lasse Pico Kjeldsen scored his first goal of the season on Friday afternoon in a 1-0 win at Northern Michigan for the Davenport men's soccer team. The win propelled the team to a 8-4-1 overall record and 5-3-1 mark in the GLIAC. The Panthers completed the season sweep of the Wildcats also posting a 2-0 score at home earlier this season (Sept. 24). At press time, DU has 16 points in the conference standings and occupies third place.

Davenport played a controlled pace and limited the Wildcats to one shot on goal. The Panthers scored on their first shot on goal as Pico Kjeldsen scored at the seven-minute mark on a redirection from Cam Cavanagh near the six-yard box. The Panthers finished with seven shots on goal coming on four in the first half and three in the second half. Jovanni Garcia's two shots on goal led the Panthers.
