DEARBORN, Mich. – Davenport road woes continue as they fall at the University of Michigan-Dearborn 1-6. The Panthers played good hockey for the opening 30 minutes of play, the remaining 30 minutes belonged to the Wolverines. Davenport and the Wolverines were tied 1-1 10 minutes into the second period, then the Wolverines scored three goals during the last 10 minutes of the period. The Panthers are currently 1-3 and will play their next home game on October 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first period the defense for both teams were dominate. Neither offense could score during the period. Each team had one power play opportunity during the period. After one period of play the score was tied 0-0.
-Offense's exploded during the second period. The Wolverines got on the board first and then
Sam Basich responded just 38 seconds later to tie the game up. He scored on an unassisted effort. The Wolverines scored three un-answered goals to end the second period. Davenport was down 1-4 heading into the third period.
-UM-Dearborn scored two more goals in the final period to take a 6-1 win.
-Basich scored the only goal for Davenport.
-No Panther had an assist during the game.
-Senior
Nate Ferris played all 60 minutes and recorded 45 saves.
UP NEXT
Davenport will be a mini series against Calvin College next week on Thursday and Saturday. The Thursday game will be at Calvin and the Saturday game will be played at Patterson Ice Center.
