LOUSIVILLE, Ky. – Davenport earned their first win of the season on the final day of the Louisville Showcase. The Panthers lost on Saturday against Florida Gulf Coast, but bounced back on Sunday to earn a 5-4 win over the University of Louisville.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Florida Gulf Coast was in control for this entire game, scoring three goals late in the first period. The Eagles scored six goals before Davenport responded with a goal late in the third period by
Kyle McConnell. He scored on an unassisted effort and it was too little too late for the Panthers.
-McConnell scored the only DU goal.
-
Devin Rosema played the whole game as goalie and recorded 29 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The last game of the weekend Davenport strung together some goals and started to figure things out offensively.
Jessee Game got the Panthers on the board first with a goal in the third minute of play. Game's goal was assisted by
Chris McRae and
Connor Seymour and was the only goal of the period.
-Davenport exploded for three goals during the second period. Kyle McConell,
Tyler Jaenicke and Nick Sargent. After a Louisville goal Davenport took a 4-1 lead heading into the final period of play.
-The Cardinals of Louisville made a comeback during the final period. They scored three un-answered goals early in the period. The game was tied 4-4 for the majority of the period, up until McRae scored what would be the game winning goal with 2:11 remaining on the clock.
-Five different players scored a goal for DU.
-Five different players tallied one assist as well.
-Rosema was in the net for the entire game again and had 25 saves.

The next time Davenport will be in action will be at Lindenwood University-Belleville for a mini series next weekend.
