GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers hosted Grand Valley State for their last game of the 2017 year and fell to the Lakers 2-4. Davenport was tied with the Lakers early in the final period, but a couple late goals by Grand Valley shifted the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Davenport opened the game scoring the initial goal and taking an early lead.
Chris McRae scored in the 15h minute on an even strength effort, assisted by
Marc Rotondo and
Tyler Jaenicke. The Lakers scored with only 52 seconds left in the period to tie the game at 1-1.
-In the second period Grand Valley State scored one goal to take a 2-1 lead after two periods of play.

Connor Seymour tied up the game just 35 seconds into the final period. He scored on a power play, a four on three situation, and was assisted by
Anthony Bagnasco and
Jordan Luciw. Grand Valley responded with two goals of their own down the stretch of the period to take the game.
-McRae and Seymour each scored one goal.
-Rotondo, Jaenicke, Bagnasco and Luciw all had one assist.

Devin Rosema was the goaltender on the night and recorded 33 saves.
UP NEXT
Davenport doesn't play another game until January 12. The Panthers have a home and away mini-series against Adrian College on January 12 and 13.
