Davenport Hosted Five Conference Rivals in Saturday's Tournament
Saturday, February 4, Davenport's men's volleyball team hosted a tournament against inter-conference rivals. The teams included Grand Valley, Calvin, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Bowling Green. Last year the Panthers held the same tournament and went 3-3; however, this year they improved their record to 5-0. Each team played five matches, they were best of three and one match against each opponent.
Davenport vs. Western Michigan: 25-13, 25-23
The Panther's first win was against Western Michigan. The team had a strong hitting game with a hitting percentage of .344 (32 kills, 10 errors off of 64 attempts), 29 total assists, 24 digs, and three service aces.

Davenport has seen three of the five teams (Grand Valley, Central and Western) they played this weekend in earlier matches, preseason or regular season, conference matches. This weekend's wins bring the previously 7-2 record to 12-2. The Panthers look forward to continuing their win streak in two weeks when they play Lincoln College, February 17 at 7:30p.m.
