GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport started off conference play with a dominating performance over Lourdes University 18-3. The Panthers had six different players score a goal and six different players tally an assist.
Jessica Lemcke exploded for a game-high seven goals and
Taylor Ries led DU with three assists. Davenport improves to 2-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers dominated this game from the jump as they scored eight unanswered goals in 17 minutes.
Tara Pluger scored the initial goal of the game with 26:02 left on the clock in the first half. Five players scored during the eight-goal stretch including Pluger, Lemcke, Ries,
Brianna Longnecker and
Brooke Knoll. Davenport only gave up one goal during the half.
Samantha Powers recorded seven saves during her 30 minutes of play in the first half. Both teams tallied 12 shots during the first half. Out of those 12 shots for DU, 11 were on goal and 10 scored. The Panthers were also a perfect 11-for-11 on their clear attempts.
In the second half,
Amber Livingston got the scoring started for DU on an unassisted effort with 26:38 on the clock. Lourdes scored back-to-back goals during the middle of the second half to cut the lead to single digits. The Panthers ended the game on a six-goal run and gave the Grey Wolves no hope of a comeback with their constant offensive pressure. Davenport recorded 13 shots compared to only four by Lourdes during the half.
