ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Panthers cruised to a 29-1 victory over Concordia University for their third straight conference win of the season. Davenport has a combined score of 76-14 during the impressive three game stretch. Freshman
Ryann Deuel has proven to be a dominant force during the draw controls and that was highlighted with her record breaking performance tonight. This is the second game in a row that Davenport has notched 29 goals and hopes to carry this momentum into the weekend against conference opponents Indiana Tech and Madonna University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Davenport started this game right where they left off their previous game against Siena Heights over the weekend, scoring goals on top of goals. The Panthers tallied the opening goal of the game and went on a 24 goal rampage over 42 and a half minutes of play. Davenport scored the opening 24 goals of the game and shut out the Cardinals up until there was 11:11 remaining in the game.
Brooke Knoll recorded the first goal of the game and that got her rolling. She scored the next goal and ended up with six goals for the game. The biggest story for the Panthers during this game was the possession of the ball. Out of the 20 draw controls in the first period Davenport won 18 of them, which is equivalent to winning the draw 90% of the time. Davenport took 26 shots on goal during the first period and scored on 19 of those. The defense for the Panthers should not go un-noticed as they only let up one shot on goal during the period and it was stopped by the goal keeper
Alex Yates.
Davenport as a team tied the record for the most goals scored in a game with 29. This is the second consecutive game that DU has scored 29 goals in a game. The team also tied the record for most draw controls won during a game with 29. Davenport had 29 draw controls the previous game against Siena Heights as well.
Freshman Ryan Deuel broke the individual record for most draw controls won in a single game with 20. The previous record was held by senior
Jessica Lemcke who recorded 17 draw controls against Siena Heights in 2014.
