GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's tennis team got back to the .500 mark (6-6) with a 6-3 win over NCAA Division II Ferris State on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 2-1 lead after doubles play highlighted by a 9-8 win at two doubles for
Steph Ritson and
Adeline Nelson. That tandem improved to 7-4 this season in doubles.
Bridget Barrett and
Hannah Murphy also picked up an 8-5 win at three doubles.
Puck Luttikhuis improved to 12-4 in singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win at one singles over Nika Hein of the Bulldogs. Ritson, Barrett and Murphy each posted a singles win as Ritson came back down a set to win the next two for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win at two singles over Nicole Meylor.
