Panther defense beat offense 43-18 at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport football team held their spring game on Saturday at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex under sunny skies. The defense picked up a 43-18 win over the offense and afterwards the players and coaches took part in a relay challenge. The defense had a great morning with a number of sacks which resulted in two points each for the defense. The offense scored points in traditional ways and the game's lone touchdown was a 52-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Krause to Nate Couturier in the fourth quarter. The defense could also get points for a turnover caused and fourth down stop as well as a sack. It was a four-quarter, 10-minute running clock game format this season under new head coach Sparky McEwen.
