HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers played the Griffins to a great 0-0 first half. Davenport didn't give up a goal and was able to record four shots during the 45-minute period. A couple corner kicks by
Lacey Chanady were un-able to find a Panther body during minute 12 and 33. McCarty stayed busy in the net, tallying three saves in the half.
The Griffins came out in the second half very aggressive, recording two goals in 10 minutes of play. Both of the goals came off of set plays, one a free kick and another a corner kick. Besides the two goals in the 10-minute span the Panthers played solid defense. McCarty made a huge save in the 74
th minute off of a penalty kick by the Griffins. The offense for DU wasn't able to create many opportunities as they only recorded one shot on goal in the second half.
