CALEDONIA, Mich. – The Panthers are in an important stretch of their conference schedule and had a tough game against Ashland University tonight. Davenport hosted the Eagles for a GLIAC game and fell 2-0. The Panthers led the shots on goal category 5-4, but couldn't manage to connect on any of the shots. Davenport is now 3-2 in conference play, with only SVSU, Northwood, Ferris State, and Grand Valley left in their regular season schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers spent a good part of the first half on the attacking end, recording four of their five shots on goal during the half. The opening two scoring opportunities came from Alayna Hilgendorf, with the first shot coming inside the box and the second coming from the top of the box. The third opportunity came from Alice Linsell with a shot from the to of the box and the final shot on goal was by Alex Prout on a free kick from the top of the box. Ashland was able to get two scores in the first half. In the second half Ashland had the possession a majority of the time and Davenport only was able to record one shot on goal during the second half.
 
Up Next
The Panthers have their final home game this Sunday against Saginaw Valley State. This will be Davenport's senior day and the game will be at 3 p.m.
