ASHLAND, Ohio - The last match of the fall determined who would qualify for the upcoming GLIAC Tournament and Davenport fell 5-2 at Ashland on Sunday. The Eagles will take the eighth-seed with the win and the Panthers will hit the courts again in 2019.
DU (1-8) got a win at one doubles but could not earn a point with the Eagles winning the other two doubles.
Adeline Nelson and
Hannah Murphy won 7-5 over Anna Hart and Brianna Brdicka. The Eagles won 6-2 at two doubles and 6-4 at three doubles.
The Panthers were victorious at No. 2 and No. 4 singles. Murphy beat Brdicka 7-5, 6-4 in the two spot.
Vladislava Shumilova beat Hart at four singles by scores of 6-1, 6-2. Nelson fell 6-4, 7-6 at one singles against Gabrielle Hudec.
