GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In an exhibition contest on Saturday, Nov. 3 it was a defensive performance for the women's basketball team in a 56-33 win over Alma College. The Scots shot 25 percent from the floor in the contest and committed 40 turnovers. Davenport held the Scots to just five points in the fourth quarter and scored 18 to pull ahead.
Martyna Pioro scored a game-high 20 points going 7-of-14 from the floor. She also went 4-of-4 at the free throw line and added five rebounds and four steals.
Jenna Falkenberg added 11 points and 17 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Amanda Merz recorded 10 steals, seven points, five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes. DU finished 18-of-22 at the foul line.
