GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport hosted former NAIA/WHAC foe Indiana Tech for a non-conference match at the MVP Sportsplex. The Panthers were originally scheduled to play at Indiana Tech, but due to lack of available facilities, the Warriors made the trip to Grand Rapids. Three Panthers won their singles and doubles matches,
Adeline Nelson,
Bridget Barrett and
Sophie Gossett.

The single matches were played first on the day, due to court availability. The Panthers lost the first match as
Steph Ritson fell in the opening set 6-1, came back and won the second set 7-6, and then lost the final set 6-2. Davenport won the next three single matches as Nelson won 6-1, 6-0 then Barrett won 6-0, 6-0 and Gossett won 6-0, 6-0. Indiana Tech won the final two matches of singles competition.

In doubles, Davenport went 2-1. In second doubles, Barrett and Gossett won 8-1 to tie the match 4-4. Ritson and Nelson earned Davenport match winning fifth point. They were the final match to finish on the day and won 8-0.

The next time Davenport will be in action is down in Orlando, Florida. The team will compete against Rose-Hulman, Concordia College (Minn.), Mount St. Mary College, and the University of Mobile.
