TIFFIN, Ohio. – The Panthers took on their second nationally ranked opponent during the weekend and hung with the Dragons from Tiffin, Ohio for the majority of the game. Davenport cut Tiffin's lead in the second half down to two goals with just under 12 minutes to play. Tiffin scored three straight under 10 minutes to bring their lead to five goals with 5:35 remaining in regulation. The Panthers showed that they are capable of playing and defeating some of the top teams in NCAA Division II. Despite the final score being 13-10, Davenport outscored the Dragons 8-6 over the last 33 minutes of the game.

How It Happened
Ryann Deuel and
Taylor Ries connected early in the game to give Davenport the lead. Deuel score 2:49 into the game, assisted by Ries. After the game was tied up 2-2, the Dragons went on a five goal run over a 15-minute stretch. Deuel scored a late period goal to cut the Dragons momentum heading into halftime. From the point that Deuel scored the goal with 2:40 left in the first till the final buzzer sounded Davenport outscored the Dragons 8-6. Aaliyah Miller, and Ries all scored. Tiffin pulled away after the goal by Ries, scoring three unanswered to bring their lead back to five goals with just over five minutes to play. Miller and Warren each scored down the stretch, but the timely run by the Dragons proved to be the difference.
