Panthers drop 4-0 road contest at UMSL

The Tritons scored three second-half goals against DU

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Davenport men's soccer team spent a lot of energy in their season opening tie against No. 19 Maryville on Thursday and you have to wonder if that carried over into Saturday's tilt with Missouri-St. Louis. The Panthers dropped a 4-0 decision to the Tritons as the home team scored three goals in the second half to pull away.

UMSL finished the match with 11 shots and six shots on goal. Four different players scored a goal for the Tritons. Oscar Gordillo scored the only goal of the first half at 33:04 on a shot just inside the box to the left corner.

Magnus Anderson added to the lead at 60:39 followed by Kenan Selimovic at 70:38 and Collin Wynn at 75:03. Mark Skrivan had three assists on the day and Selimovic also assisted on Anderson's goal.

Davenport had eight shots with five shots on goal. Haris Dzafic got the start in goal and lasted 72:49 with two saves. Eric Riley played the final 17:11 and allowed the final goal with no saves. Five different Panthers had one shot on goal in the contest.
