Davenport Sweeps Parkside for First Road GLIAC Win

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team churned out its second-best hitting percentage of the season (.274) en route to the year's first road GLIAC win on Friday night in The Badger State. The Panthers made quick work of Parkside and defeated the Rangers in straight sets. DU made it two wins in a row to improve to 4-10 overall and 2-4 in league play.

- Aside from three ties throughout the match including 3-3 in the first, 3-3 in the second and 4-4 in the second, Davenport led Parkside the entire way.

- The Panthers led by as many as 11 in the first set, seven in the second and 12 in the third.

- Offensively, DU got better as the match progressed with hitting percentages of .206 in the first, .207 in the second and a red-hot .476 in the third.

- The Rangers hit below .150 in each of the three periods with five or more errors in each of them.

- Davenport racked up nine service aces, the team's fifth match of the season with that many.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

- Everything seemed to run through Sami White as the senior setter notched 22 assists, eight digs, five aces, five kills, and a block assist with a .571 hitting percentage.

- Ten of her 22 assists turned into kills for Megan Herr who hit a blistering .563 on her 16 total attacks.

- Herr also led the team in total blocks with four while Nina Rudnitsky led the Panthers in digs with 10.

- Riley Groves tallied five kills, her first career match with more than one.

- Davenport will look to make it three wins in a row on Saturday at Purdue Northwest. First serve against the Pride is set for 3 p.m. eastern time.
