ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match at Grand Valley State (5-0, 5-0 GLIAC) on Sunday morning.
The Lakers only lost five games in two doubles matches and then just three games in four singles matches. The Panthers were able to suit up just four players for the second straight match which gave the Lakers two points in singles.
Adeline Nelson and
Sophie Gossett lost 6-4 at one doubles in the closest matchup of the day. Nelson also took two games in the first set at one singles falling 6-2, 6-0 against Vera Griva. Gossett and
Emma Philippus lost 6-0, 6-0 at two and four singles respectively.
Lillian Mouw lost 6-0, 6-1 at three singles against Liv Hanover.
