» The Panthers will conclude the home portion of the 2019 season on Saturday as they host Northwood for a noon kickoff at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex in Caledonia. The team will be honoring 18 seniors who will be playing for the final time in front of the home crowd.Â

NEWS AND NOTES
» Davenport's strength of schedule thus far this season ranks fourth in NCAA Division II according to the NCAA Stats website. The Panthers opponents have posted a combined record of 38-24 (.613). DU has played two nationally-ranked teams this season including then No. 2 Ferris State (Oct. 5) and No. 16 Grand Valley State (Oct. 26). The team has a non-conference win over Lindenwood (Sept. 28) who is currently 5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
» Saturday's clash with the Timberwolves marks the third meeting between the schools since Davenport joined the GLIAC. It will be the first time that Northwood will be visiting Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. NU leads the series 2-0 with a 33-30 double overtime win in 2017 and a 30-22 win in 2018. DU trailed 21-0 in the 2017 meeting before forcing overtime with 20 fourth quarter points. David Riser kicked four field goals for the Timberwolves including one with two seconds left in regulation from 41 yards. He also booted a pair of overtime from 34 and 36 yards respectively. The Timberwolves handed DU their first loss of 2018 after a 6-0 start. NU never trailed in the contest and rushed for 241 yards and three scores.
Haiden Majewski completed 12-of-26 through the air for 195 yards and a score. It was an 86-yard strike to
Deondre Moore that set the school record at the time.
» The Davenport defense is currently ranked 26th in NCAA Division II and third in the GLIAC allowing 293.1 yards per game. In the secondary, the Panthers have allowed just eight touchdowns and intercepted seven passes.
