GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team lost a non-conference match against NAIA powerhouse Indiana Wesleyan, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon at Grand Rapids Racquet Club.
Adeline Nelson and
Hannah Murphy lost 6-4 at one doubles.
Sophie Gossett and
Vladislava Shumilova lost 6-2 at two doubles. The Panthers suited up five players and did not compete in three doubles.
The Wildcats then won four singles matches including six singles by default. Lizzie Bauss won 6-2, 6-2 over Nelson at one singles. Alex Mella won 6-4, 6-2 over Murphy at two singles. Lena Golz took a 6-1, 6-3 win over
Bruna Ralheta at three singles. Thewuni Devaraja won at four singles over
Vladislava Shumilova 6-2, 6-1.
