HILLSDALE, Mich. - The women's tennis team traveled to Hillsdale College on Sunday (Feb. 3) for their first competition of 2019. The Chargers were playing in their first dual match of the 2018-19 season. Davenport finished 1-8 during the fall competing in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches.
Davenport was only able to field five players which meant that they would lose three doubles and six singles. The Chargers took both doubles matches to earn one point. Then they won the other five singles matches for the 7-0 win.
The five singles were all in straight sets in favor of Hillsdale.
Bruna Ralheta took six games from Katie Bell at three singles (6-2, 6-4).Â
