ASHLAND, Ohio. – Davenport played their fourth straight GLIAC road game and the Panthers ended the weekend on a great note. The final buzzer sounded and Davenport came away with a 20-8 win over the Eagles, improving to 2-2 in conference play. The Panthers return to their home field for the next five games, all of which are conference games.

How It Happened
Aaliyah Miller kicked off the scoring for the Panthers. She scored in the second minute of the game. Miller's goal was followed up by a goal from
Ryann Deuel, giving Davenport a two-goal lead. Ashland got on the board in the fourth minute of the game, cutting the lead down to 2-1. The Panthers responded by scoring five unanswered goals.
Taylor Ries and Miller each scored two goals during the stretch and Deuel added one. Davenport led 7-1 after the five-goal run. The Panthers outscored Ashland 4-3 over the remaining minutes of the first half and held an 11-4 advantage at halftime.
Davenport opened the second half on a 5-1 run, building their lead up to 16-5 and putting this game out of reach for the home team. The Panthers held the Eagles to only four goals in the second half and scored nine of their own. Davenport had six different players score a goal in the second half.
