Panthers fall 7-0 at Northwood

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team took to the courts on Sunday morning to face Northwood. The Timberwolves won the contest by a final score of 7-0. Northwood improved their overall season record to 2-2 while the Panthers are now 1-4 overall and are 0-4 in the GLIAC.

The Panthers were short-handed in the match playing just five due to injury. That meant a default win at three doubles and six singles for the Timberwolves. Adeline Nelson and Willemien Coetzee battled at one doubles before falling 6-4.

Northwood won the five singles matches in straight sets. The best a player could win in a set was three games for Davenport. Nelson and Sophie Gossett each had the best results at 6-3, 6-2 at two and three singles.
