ASHLAND, Ohio – The Panthers continued their GLIAC schedule, this time taking on one of the top teams in the country, Ashland University. The Eagles came into the game with an un-blemished record of 14-0. Davenport fell behind early in the game and couldn't stop the high scoring offense of Ashland. The Panthers ended up falling 72-101 and will return to their home gym next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Eagles are a high scoring team and wasted no time in this game, scoring 27 points against Davenport in the opening quarter. The Panthers weren't backing down, scoring 18 points of their own. Even though Davenport was able to get some success on offense, the lead quickly went to double digits for Ashland and remained there for the rest of the game.
The deficit grew to 20 plus points for Davenport in the second half and was out of reach in the fourth quarter. The Eagles are arguably one of the best teams in the country and Davenport found out throughout this game why that is.

Jenna Falkenberg, and underclassman
Toni Grace and
Madison Jones all scored in double digits. The three combined for 53 of the team's 72 points in the game. This was the first time this season that Davenport shot 50% of better from the field as a team, going 30/60 from the floor.
