MIDLAND, Mich. – The Panthers struggled on the road against the Timberwolves of Northwood. Davenport scored 39 points in the game, which resulted in a season low. In the second and fourth quarter, the Panthers were held to single digits in scoring with six and four points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening two minutes of play were a completely different story than the other 38 minutes of the game. The Panthers were on fire to start the game, building up a 10-0 lead after scores from
Madison Jones,
Jenna Falkenberg, and
Toni Grace. After cooling off, Davenport was outscored to end the quarter, but still held a 16-11 lead after 10 minutes of play.
Northwood took the lead in the second quarter and things started going down hill offensively for the Panthers. The Timberwolves finished the final five minutes of the half on a 10-4 run and DU went into the break down 22-29.
Davenport felt the lead grow larger in the third, as NU outscored them 24-13 and were up by double digits in the last five minutes of the third quarter. The Panthers needed to score points in the fourth in order to make a comeback, but the team scored just four points. The Timberwolves increased their lead in the fourth and Davenport suffered the road loss.
