The Davenport women's basketball program is fresh off their best overall performance of the season in a 76-67 win at Purdue Northwest last Saturday. The Panthers are currently 2-4 overall and will welcome Grand Valley State to the Student Center for a 5:00 PM tip on Tuesday. The Lakers are 5-1 overall and ranked fifth in NCAA Division II at the time of this release.
Sophomore
Emily Lange (Wilton, Iowa) had a breakout weekend against Purdue Northwest. She scored a career-high 26 points on Friday and followed that up with a team-high 17 points in Saturday's win over the Pride. The Panthers were able to snap a four-game skid against the Pride.
Toni Grace and
Scout Nelson each scored 14 points and combined to go 9-of-9 at the line on Saturday. Grace shot 5-of-11 from the floor and also had three rebounds and three steals.
Loni Sales also was in double figures for the first time in three games with 12 points and led the team with eight rebounds from her guard position.
