CALEDONIA, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team last picked up a dual match win against Aquinas on Feb. 6, 2021 and it happened again on Friday with a 5-2 victory over the Saints.
The doubles point went to the Panthers as they took the two and three doubles. The three doubles was a default win because Aquinas did not field a duo. 
Kumiko Yamaguchi and 
Isabella Carofano played at two doubles and earned a win 6-4 over Mimi Pecheco and Vanessa Heylmun.
Moving on to the singles matches, Davenport took four points to improve to 1-0 this season. The Panther winners included 
Willemien Coetzee at one singles (6-3, 0-6, 10-1), Yamaguchi at three singles (6-3, 6-0), 
Sophie Jackson at five singles (6-4, 6-2) and 
Louise Hosking on a default withdraw at six singles.
