Pink the Rink closes out weekend series with Grand Valley State

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In the second game of a weekend back-to-back, the Panthers hosted Grand Valley State University and were met with another loss at the hands of the Lakers.

Sophomore Dayna Templeton took over the goaltending duties in game two allowing for all 11 Panther skaters to battle with the Lakers' 14. The Ontario native stopped 35 shots out of the 41 taken with all six Laker goals going in during the second period. 
The third period was met with both teams showing their displeasure for each other on the ice and on the stat sheet with a whopping seven out of 10 total penalties taking place in the final period.

Pink the Rink also took over Patterson Ice Center as the team held a bake sale, silent auction, and raffle for a signed DU Pink the Rink jersey. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.

The Panthers will host the University of Rhode Island for two games this coming weekend. The first game will be on Friday, October 29th at 8:30 pm and the second will be on Saturday, October 30th at 3:30 pm.
