HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 match against Hillsdale College on Sunday afternoon. Davenport is now 1-4 overall this season and the Chargers improved to 2-0.
The Chargers earned the first point with three doubles wins. The Panthers were only able to win three games during the three matches.
Just three singles matches were completed and Hillsdale clinched the four points needed for victory.
Willemien Coetzee fell 6-1, 7-5 at one singles against Hannah Cimpeanu.
Isabella Carofano fell 6-2, 6-2 at two singles against Canela Luna.
Sophie Jackson fell 6-1, 6-1 at four singles against Sophia Spinazze.
Danica Malan was so close to winning her match at three singles when the match was called. She led 6-2 and 5-4 in the second set.
