The postseason has arrived and Davenport will be traveling to Marquette on Tuesday to tangle with Northern Michigan in the first round of the GLIAC Tournament. These two teams split a pair of games in Grand Rapids just two weekends ago on Feb. 19-20. The Panthers won 56-50 on the 19th and the Wildcats returned the favor 62-43 on the 20th at the Student Center. NMU leads the all-time series 8-2 and last time these teams played in Marquette it was a 72-63 win for NMU on Feb. 22, 2020.
The Wildcats have previously won the GLIAC Tournament eight times with the most recent coming in the 2013-14 season. The Wildcats are seeded 7th in the tournament and the Panthers are seeded 10th. This year, the GLIAC allowed all teams to qualify. The traditional format allows for the top eight teams to qualify.
