BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's soccer team traveled to GLIAC-leading Ferris State on Thursday, but came up short to the Bulldogs, 3-0. Next up on the schedule, the Panthers will be at Northwood on Saturday with the opening kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. in Midland.
Ferris State (6-0) scored goals in the seventh, 37th and 46th minutes with a total of 28 shots, 12 of which were on goal. Davenport (1-4) was held to just six shots, two of which were on target, including five from
Ashlyn Skidmore (1 SOG) and the other by
Madeleine Zayan (1 SOG).
In goal for Davenport,
Samantha Beckles faced 12 shots and made nine saves.
