GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team lost 7-0 to Grand Valley State on Sunday in GLIAC action. The Panthers are looking for their first win in the conference and they have three more chances to end the season.
The team was able to field just four players and that meant they were up against a wall even before the match started.
Willemien Coetzee and
Kailyn Skogmo battled at one doubles but fell 6-4 against Marija Leko and Taylor Barrett.Â
Coetzee lost 6-3, 6-1 at one singles against Barrett.
Danica Malan lost 6-0, 6-1 against Vasileia Griva at two singles. Liv Hanover beat Skogmo 6-0, 6-0 at three singles. Sophia Hanover also won 6-0, 6-0 over
Taryn Orr at four singles.
