Top Memories of 2020-21: Women's Lacrosse Turns in Most Successful Season of D2 Era

It is time once again to take a brief trip down memory lane from the top memories of 2020-21. In a year like no other, the athletic communications department will be highlighting some of the best of the best in Davenport University athletics. This series will run from July 27 up until August 23 in preparation of the 2021-22 academic year and a chance to create more memorable accomplishments.

Rob Harris and the Davenport University women's lacrosse program turned in a historic season in 2021, Harris' eighth as the head coach of the Panthers. DU finished with an overall record of 11-3, a GLIAC mark of 6-2 and was able to accomplish the following:
  • First wins against four different opponents (Tiffin, Findlay, Walsh, and Concordia-St. Paul)
  • First NCAA Top-25 ranking
  • First IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week (Anna Glynn on April 13)
  • Program record eight players named All-GLIAC including four First Team, three Second Team and one Honorable Mention
  • First GLIAC major award winners in Glynn (Freshman of the Year) and Aaliyah Miller (Attacker of the Year)
  • Program record five GLIAC Players of the Week
  • First GLIAC Tournament win and GLIAC Tournament finals appearance
  • Seventh 10-win season in program history
  • First IWLCA All-Region honors as Ryann Deuel, Glynn and Miller were named IWLCA Second-Team All-Region
  • First GLIAC Commissioner's Award winner in Deuel
  • Trio of Panthers named to the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll in Deuel, Miller and Amber Park
