GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's basketball team fresh off a win on December 30 against Cornerstone, will be back into Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play beginning on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Northwood. The Panthers will also travel to 16th-ranked Grand Valley State on Monday.
DU picked up a 74-57 victory over Cornerstone in their last outing of 2021. The Panthers were able to come out in the second half and establish a double-digit lead after trailing by three points (31-28) at halftime. DU outscored the Golden Eagles, 25-9, in the third quarter and cruised from there to the win. Davenport set a new season high with 74 points and 52 rebounds. Freshman
Lillee Gustafson set a career high with 15 rebounds which also tied for sixth best in a game in school history. Senior
Kenzie Wilkinson established a new career high with 10 rebounds getting her first start of the season. Senior
Toni Grace led the team with 17 points and had three assists. It was the 63rd time in her career with double-digit points and seventh time this season. Junior
Scout Nelson set a new career high with nine assists and also had six rebounds. Gustafson also got her second double-double with 10 points and blocked two shots.
