GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Junior punter
Kyle Wojahn (Stevensville, Mich.) from the Davenport University football team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Wojahn is majoring in Industrial Production Management and is a three-year starter on special teams. He punted 34 times for an average of 37.4 yards this season and pinned eight inside the 20-yard line. Wojahn is the all-time leader at Davenport with 177 punts for 6,610 yards and is second in punt average at 37.3.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Wojahn now moves on to be eligible for CSC Academic All-America voting. That team will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
