WESTLAKE, Ohio - The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association has released their all-region honorees for the 2022 football season in Super Region 3. Considered by many to be the toughest region in Division II, the Panthers had senior cornerback
Shaq Floyd selected to this prestigious list as Second Team All-Region.
Floyd finished the season ranked third on the team with 48 tackles and he led the team with three interceptions. In addition, Floyd recorded five tackles for loss including a sack as well as four pass breakups and one forced fumble in 11 games played. He was named First Team All-GLIACÂ this season and among his highlights were a season-high 10 tackles during the regular season matchup on Nov. 5 at Ferris State. He had two tackles for loss as well in that contest. He also had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown and four tackles against Northern Michigan on Sept. 17. Floyd also played a solid game on Oct. 29 at Saginaw Valley State with three solo tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and an interception. He finished his career at Davenport with 111 tackles and seven interceptions.
