GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Despite dropping a second match in a row for the first time this season on Friday night, the Davenport women's volleyball team answered the bell on Saturday against Wayne State. The Panthers defeated the Warriors in straight sets to even up the all-time series at 5-5 and take four of the two teams' last six meetings. Next up, DU will be at Grand Valley State on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. first serve against the Lakers.

Match Notes
- Less than 24 hours after becoming the program's all-time leader in kills, Kreiger was back at it on Saturday with 19 kills and only two errors on 43 swings for a .395 offensive clip.
- Wayne State's Lauren VanderWal, one of the top attackers in the GLIAC, was held to just six kills, one off her season low, on a .000 hitting percentage.
- After hitting -.029 on Friday, Taylor responded well in her own right with a .217 clip against WSU thanks to nine kills and four errors on 23 attacks.
- As a team, Davenport got back into double-figures behind the service line with 10 aces to Wayne State's two.
- Beeke reached the 20-assist mark for the sixth time this season and fifth time in her last six matches.
- Odeen's 15 assists were three off her season high and tied for the most since that mark was set at Flagler on Aug. 26.
- Kalinowski finished with eight digs, two shy of her season high and her third match with eight or more this season.
- As a team, the Panthers (.224 hitting percentage) hit at least .200 for the seventh time this season and improved to 6-1 in those matches.
- DU also snapped a four-match stretch in which they hadn't reached that .200 plateau.
- The Panthers' best offensive set was the second (.345) while the Warriors hit below .100 in each of their three sets.
