GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team has defeated Ferris State for the first time in nine all-time meetings. Despite dropping the first set on Friday night inside the Student Center, the Panthers came back to win in five and snap the Bulldogs' seven-match winning streak. Riding a three-match winning streak of its own, Davenport will host Lake Superior State on Saturday at 5 p.m.

- As a team, Davenport racked up 91 digs, second to 100 at Michigan Tech, but most for a home match since 2018.
- On the attack, the Panthers hit at least .200 for the third-straight match and ninth time this season (8-1 record in those matches).
- Friday's effort marked the first for DU this season in which the opponent finished with more aces (9-8).
- The Panthers' best offensive set was the fifth (.292) while the Bulldogs' was the fourth (.310).
- Kreiger made it seven double-doubles for the season and 25 for her career.
- Taylor now has five double-doubles this fall and did so with a career-high 19 digs on Friday.
- LaFleur was efficient in the middle with seven kills and no errors on 14 swings.
