GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's tennis team were hoping for better results at the ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by Grand Valley State over the past weekend. The format featured Flight A and Flight B Singles and Doubles but no consolation matches were played.

Louise Hosking was the only player to win a singles match. She managed to win three matches in total and advanced to the quarterfinals. She beat Hayley Tsuen of Purdue Northwest (7-5, 4-6, 10-7), Katrin Ismailova of Quincy (6-4, 6-2), and Yasmina Mayer of Walsh. Her loss in the quarterfinals came at the hands of Anamarija Kovacevic of Findlay (6-1, 6-1).

Willemien Coetzee went three sets in her singles match against Paula Ballesteros of Southwest Baptist. She won the first set 7-6 before falling 6-3 and 10-8. Amy Bloch also went three sets with her opponent Anais Ruyssen of Wayne State. She too won the first set 6-3 before falling 6-4 and 10-2.

The tandem of Skye Vandeleur and Bloch had the closest doubles match falling 8-6 against Vasileia Griva and Taylor Barrett of Grand Valley State.
