HAMMOND, Ind. - Davenport women's basketball got big contributions from
Lillee Gustafson and
Scout Nelson on Thursday night at Purdue Northwest in a 76-68 loss to the Pride. The Pride picked up their first GLIAC win (1-4) while Davenport is still looking for their first win in the conference (0-4).
Gustafson and Nelson combined to score 50 of their team's 68 points in the loss. They were a combined 18-of-27 from the floor but the rest of the team shot 7-of-34 from the floor. Davenport really struggled to find their shooting touch from behind the arc going 1-of-14.
The contest featured six ties and four lead changes. Davenport trailed 33-31 at halftime and were outscored 23-16 in the third quarter which proved to be the difference.
