Road Ends for the Panthers in GLIAC Tournament Semifinals

MIDLAND, Mich. - The DU men's tennis team continued their conference run in the tournament semifinals against Ferris State on Saturday at the Greater Midland Tennis Center. This was the second meeting between the Panthers and the Bulldogs this season. Davenport managed to throw claws, but FSU pulled away with a 4-0 victory.

Ferris State grabbed the doubles point quickly by claiming wins at three and one doubles. Subash Paramasivam and Daniil Khitrou started at three doubles and struggled from the first ball as the pair fell 6-2 to Yannic Mader and Erik Kovacs. Joel Mast and Jan Stolin competed at one doubles as they put up a fight but they could not overcome the Bulldogs and were defeated 6-4 by Jan Koupil and Ben Lortie.

Simone Pacciolla put up an impressive effort at No. 6 singles, but his opponent was too much today. The Italian was dropped 6-2, 6-1 by Esunge Ndumbe. Carlos Henriquez was at the five singles position and the transfer had a tight first set, but ultimately lost his steam and was beaten 6-4, 6-1 by Alessandro Santangelo. The match was wrapped up with a loss at one singles as Paramasivam gave it his all before he was knocked down 6-3, 6-2 by Koupil.
