ADRIAN, Mich. - Davenport women's rugby moves flawlessly into their 7's season each year and this tournament was no exception. Although not officially all conference matches, their overall stats is 9-0 for the 7's season. After sweeping the board at the Tropical 7's Tournament, the players only had a few practices before digging into the Adrian Tournament and striking gold. Olivia Farkas and Ashley Cowdrey showed their undeniable rugby knowledge on the field with their plays, along with Olivia Male's quick thinking skills. Another noteworthy event was serious speed from Ellis McKay resulting in her first try this year. Altogether, this team so far has been unstoppable. Their hope is to continue it through the end of the next week, which would get them another championship title for the books. "Day by day, we get better and better" is a motto used by the team. The Davenport women's Rugby team will complete their 7's season in Houston, Texas on May 6-7. This will be the NIRA Division II 7's national championship tournament and more information will be posted on the website as it gets closer to the event.
