Noah Antor named head coach of the Esports program at Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Noah Antor will take over the reins of the Esports program at Davenport University, becoming the third head coach in school history. Antor comes to DU having served as Esports Program Coordinator and Coach at nearby Rockford High School. He served in that capacity since 2021 and helped lead students apply their love for gaming through competition and building life skills.

"I am so thankful for the opportunity to work at Davenport University as the Head Coach of Esports," said Antor. "Leading an Esports program has been a personal goal of mine for years and being able to do so from my hometown of Grand Rapids is a dream." 

Antor continued by saying, "My goals for Davenport Esports are; to give students the guidance, support, and resources they need to grow and reach their goals, recruit talented students to grow our program, develop highly competitive players within our program, expand our content production capabilities, and bolster a culture of respect, integrity, and competitive success within our Esports program."

A native of South Carolina, Antor earned his bachelor's degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina in 2020. He then pursued and completed a master's degree in Management from Aquinas College completed in 2022.

"Noah communicated his passion and holistic approach to developing his student-athletes as strategic leaders in gaming and life," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Paul Lowden. "He has served in a vital role in the development and growth of Rockford High School's Esports program and we feel these transferable skills will be vital in the continued success of our Esports program."
