GLIAC - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced Wednesday (June 5) their full list of All-Academic honorees for the entire 2023-24 school year. This is the first time that the conference released fall, winter, and spring honorees at the same time at the conclusion of the academic year.
The GLIAC has two different categories for academic recognition which include All-Academic (3.0 to 3.49 GPA) and All-Academic Excellence (3.5 and above). In order to qualify for the academic awards, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria: listed on the active roster at the conclusion of the sport season and may not be a true freshman or first-year transfer. This award is also a cumulative grade-point average for their entire academic career at each institution.
Davenport University had a total of 233 student-athletes in GLIAC-sponsored sports that made this year's academic lists. 64 student-athletes fell into the All-Academic category and 169 student-athletes were recognized as All-Academic Excellence.
