GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport men's ACHA Division I hockey team spotted visiting Roosevelt two goals on Saturday afternoon, but rallied for four straight in a 4-2 victory in their home opener and their inaugural game in the Great Lakes 6 Conference.

The Panthers were coming off their first loss on Thursday night at Toledo and things were shaky in the first period and early second period falling behind 2-0. Danny Bdzoch scored the first period's only goal at 18:31 on the power play. Andrew Lozinak made it 2-0 at 3:23 of the second period from Chase Caravella and Bdzoch. The Lakers, playing in their season opener, did not have the legs to keep the lead. Luke Mikkola scored his third goal of the season at 13:39 on the power play from Brendan Bauer and Branwen Pollett.

Davenport scored all three goals of the third period to the delight of the home fans at Patterson Ice Center. Heath Drye tied the game with his third goal of the season at 15:05 from Noah Bradburn. Ryder McMillen scored the game-winning goal at 17:29, his first of the season, from Peter Stojcevski and Kristers Klavins. The empty-net goal at 19:09 was buried by Justin Turner from Bradburn.

Davenport had a 36-21 edge in shots on goal for the game. Roosevelt finished 1-for-6 on the power play, while Davenport went 1-for-3. Kyler Lowden got the win between the pipes for DU with 19 saves.
