Panthers Downed 5-2 by Bulldogs on Saturday

Box Score BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Ferris State on Saturday afternoon at the FSU Racquet and Tennis Center.

FSU got out to a 1-0 advantage after sweeping doubles play. Sienna Opray and Skye Vanderleur fell 7-5 to Kennedy Dumas and Maria Fernanda Hernandez at No. 1 doubles. Slotted at the No. 2 position, Amy Bloch and Lotte Federski lost 6-1, while Erin Hack and Valentina Moreno were dropped 6-2 at No. 3.

Bloch came away with a 6-0, 6-2  win at No. 2 singles for the Panthers against Yara Madi. Playing at the No. 3 position, Vandeleur secured a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Dumas.

The Panthers will continue GLIAC play next Friday in University Center, Mich. against Saginaw Valley State at 1 p.m.
