BAY CITY, Mich. - A total of 220 student-athletes from Davenport University were recognized for their academic achievements in the GLIAC for the 2024-25 season. As a whole, 79 received Academic Honors (3.0-3.49 GPA) and 141 earned Academic Excellence (3.5-above GPA) designations. These honors were awarded across a wide range of men's and women's sports, highlighting the strong commitment to academic success alongside athletic performance for the Panthers.

In women's athletics, a total of 101 student-athletes were honored with 73 earning Academic Excellence. In men's athletics, a total of 119 student-athletes were honored with 68 earning Academic Excellence. 

Top-performing sports among women included:

• Women's Soccer: 23 honors (6 Academic, 17 Academic Excellence)

• Women's Indoor/Outdoor Track: 18 honors (4 Academic, 14 Academic Excellence)

• Volleyball and Women's Lacrosse: Each with 12 and 16 honorees respectively, with a high proportion earning Academic Excellence.

The sports with the most total honors among men's programs were:

• Football: 38 honors (23 Academic, 15 Academic Excellence)

• Men's Indoor/Outdoor Track: 23 honors (8 Academic, 15 Academic Excellence)

• Men's Swimming and Diving: 14 honors (4 Academic, 10 Academic Excellence)
