ALLENDALE, Mich. - Sophomore
Venetia Chap finished in the top 15 at the Grand Valley State Gilda's Club Invitational at The Meadows Golf Course. The Panthers were playing 36 holes on Monday after a two-day tournament at Ferris State on Saturday and Sunday. Chap tied for 13th with rounds of 76-75. Davenport as a team finished ninth in the field with a score of 633 (318-315).
ThaiLee Gerding tied for 23rd place with a score of 155 (76-79).
Lauren Gervais tied for 43rd place after scores of 79-84 (163).
Melissa Walker tied for 51st position turning in a scorecard of 167 (87-80).
Hannah Robinson finished 56th overall with a total of 170 (89-81).
Natalie Haise (49th place) and
Taegen Skatzka (tied for 58th place) played as individuals. Haise shot a pair of 83's, while Skatzka carded 173 (83-90).
The team is back in action on Monday, Oct. 6 for the first round of the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Romeoville, Ill.
