GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After sweeping GVSU on Sunday, the Lakers came back for more on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the DU Student Center. After an easy 25-13 victory for Davenport in the first set, GVSU put up a much-tougher fight throughout the duration of the match. The Panthers won the second set 25-22, lost the third set 21-25, and won the fourth and final set 26-24.
Jackson Palmitier spearheaded the offense with 11 kills, while
Gavin Vandergraaf and
Logan Sowers contributed nine kills each.
Tristan Whitman dished out 35 assists. At the net, Vandergraaf and
Shaquann Amenuvor both had two blocks.
The men's volleyball team has the weekend off before resuming play at home next Wednesday, Feb. 18 vs. MSU Green.
