BOLINGBROOK, Ill. - The Davenport women's golf team played a 27-hole shortened tournament at the Lewis Flyer Invitational and finished fifth with a team score of 483. The opening day was scheduled for 27 holes and the team's were scheduled to finish up nine holes on the following day. The inclement weather cancelled the final nine holes, but the first day was halted and DU had just a few holes to finish up on Tuesday morning to complete the 27 holes.

Davenport's total of 483 trailed fourth-place Illinois Springfield by seven strokes. Maryville would come out on top with a team score of 458. Venetia Chap was the team's top finisher in 12th place. She opened up with a 76 in the first 18 holes and shot even-par 36 on the front nine. Her round consisted of 14 pars and four bogeys. She would shoot a 41 on the final nine holes including a birdie at the par-4, 14th hole. Lauren Gervais was one spot back in 13th place after she opened with a 78. She shot identical 39's on both nines which included a birdie on the par-5, 12th hole. She finished with a 40 on the back nine with two birdies on the par-4, 14th hole and par-4, 18th hole.

Melissa Walker finished in 24th place and carded an 84 in the opening 18 holes. She did have birdies on the par-4, 1st hole and par-4, 14th hole. She would improve on the last nine holes with a 40. ThaiLee Gerding checked in at 35th place and shot 81 with three birdies in the opening 18 holes including back-to-back at the par-3, 13th hole and par-4, 14th hole. Gerding finished with a 45 on the last nine holes. Hannah Robinson rounded out the individuals in 43rd place. She shot 87 and followed with a 43.
